“The right fit changes everything - comfort, confidence, and how a day feels from start to finish.”

Our Story

When my husband was 12 years old, he was 6 feet tall and wore a size 12 shoe. For most of his teenage and adult years, he was confined to purchasing whatever was in the department store, and on the rack. My husband is now 6’5” and older, but still finds it difficult to find comfortable clothing and long sleeve shirts that fit his 7’ wingspan.

I named this site ‘Tried and True’ to help Big and Tall men find clothing that actually fits. Happy Shopping!

Why I Picked These Products

The Comfort Fit socks are an excellent choice for individuals who are diabetic, deal with neuropathy in their feet, or just don't enjoy tight fitting socks. These socks fit well, and are stretchy and comfortable.

The Wrangler Comfort Flex Waist Relaxed Fit Jean has a comfort fit waistband that makes for a comfortable fit for big and tall men. They are my husband's favorite jean.

Dickies and Carhartt make a heavier t-shirt for men who are looking for a shirt that fits well and is not made of thin material.

The Izod long sleeve shirts, and the Stafford white dress shirt have sleeve lengths that actually fit my husband's wingspan.

The New Balance and Skechers walking shoe fit him well, and are comfortable.
